This last Friday, I was a zombie in the Ogden Zombie Crawl! It was way fun, but probably one of the most random things I've ever done in my life!
What is the Ogden Zombie Crawl? It is an event that takes place in Ogden (obviously, hence the “Ogden Zombie Crawl”) and hundreds of people all dress up like zombies. All these hundreds of zombies meet at the Union Station (again, the Union Station is in Ogden, I don’t think I need to repeat that any more; hopefully you understand by now that the Zombie Crawl is in Ogden) and all walk up and down the streets pretending to be zombies! This sounds pretty weird, right? Well it was actually really fun!
Some people around the streets watching don’t know about the Zombie Crawl, and it is hilarious to see them shocked or even kind of freaked out when they see four hundred zombies parading down the streets!
Some people/zombies got really into acting like zombies, and they would throw themselves against store windows making grotesque faces and smearing fake blood on the windows. The customers inside thought it was disgusting, but everyone had a great time laughing about the “weirdness” of zombies going up and down the streets.
Everyone came up with very interesting and unique costumes, and it was really fun to get to see all the strange and sometimes gross zombie outfits. There were a few people that I saw that night that even had fake intestines hanging out of their mouths as part of their costumes! That was kind of gross.
When we were all done being zombies for the night, everyone went back to the Union Station and we got FREE hamburgers and drinks! To whoever is reading this, you should definitely be a zombie in the Ogden Zombie Crawl next Halloween!
